Sparks of Insanity

Haphazard Explorations & Experiments In Fiction

Dope Fiend

Drug abuse, substance misuse,
They free me, don’t tell me who to be.

Meeting new people, come and see.
One then two, then more than three.

Hurting no one, no killing spree.
Just a little shock, and some controversy.

I love the drugs…
And I’ll tell you what: they love me.

I like the idea of drugs being capable of love. Cool drop.

“And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle! Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
~William Shakespeare
